Mercenary Dens

Mercenary Dens are brand-new deployable structures introduced in the Revenant expansion. They can be anchored at skyhooks on temperate planets. Blueprints for constructing these dens are available for purchase in the Zarzakh market within the Fulcrum region. To deploy a Mercenary Den, players need to train the new “Mercenary Den Management” skill. Each skill level allows a character to control one den, with a maximum of five dens per character at maximum skill level. Only one Mercenary Den can occupy a single skyhook at any given time.

Once deployed, Mercenary Dens passively generate “Encrypted Infomorphs” hourly. These items can be sold on the market to other players or exchanged for rewards with Deathless Item Traders in Zarzakh. Rewards include Deathless ships, Breacher Pod Launchers, Breacher Pods, skill books, and exclusive SKINR components.

Mercenary Dens are exclusively accessible by their owner. However, they are susceptible to attacks and have a single 24-hour reinforcement timer with a 6-hour random delay. During the reinforcement period, the den continues to produce Infomorphs, but they cannot be extracted until the den exits reinforcement mode and has its shields repaired to at least 50% capacity. If a Mercenary Den is destroyed, there is a 50% chance for the Encrypted Infomorphs stored inside to drop as loot.

Deathless Ships

The Revenant expansion introduces two new Deathless ships: the Tholos and the Cenotaph. Deathless ships are unique in their ability to equip the new Breacher Pod Launcher, a damage-over-time weapon.

They possess several key features:

  • Numerous mid-slots for diverse utility options.
  • Bonuses to active shield tanking.
  • Average speed coupled with strong web resistance bonuses.
  • Large drone bays for their ship classes.
  • Damage bonuses to both projectile weapons and close-range missiles, allowing them to deal significant damage at close range.
  • The capability to fit Covert Ops Cloaking Devices, benefiting from a 100% reduction in CPU requirement and a reduced cloak reactivation delay of 15 seconds.
  • Immunity to all cargo scanners.

Tholos

Traits: Caldari and Minmatar Destroyer bonuses.
Fittings: Can fit one Small Breacher Pod Launcher and a Covert Ops Cloaking Device.

Cenotaph

Traits: Caldari and Minmatar Battlecruiser bonuses.
Fittings: Can fit one Medium Breacher Pod Launcher and a Covert Ops Cloaking Device.

Blueprints for Deathless ships can be obtained exclusively from Deathless Item Traders located in Zarzakh.
Players can exchange Atavums found in exploration sites and Encrypted Infomorphs from Mercenary Dens to acquire these blueprints.

Breacher Pod Launchers – Damage Over Time Weapons

Breacher Pod Launchers are a new weapon system introduced in Revenant and mark the first appearance of a damage-over-time (DoT) effect in EVE Online. Available in small and medium sizes, they can only be fitted on the new Deathless ships. These launchers fire SCARAB Breacher Pods, which apply a DoT effect upon hitting a ship.

Key characteristics of Breacher Pod Launchers:

  • Doesn’t occupy turret or launcher hardpoints.
  • Utilize SCARAB Breacher Pods, similar to missiles, which can be intercepted by smartbombs.
  • Can target only player ships and NPCs, excluding capsules, structures, and stargates.
  • DoT effect bypasses signature radius and tracking, instead dealing damage based on the target’s total hitpoints or a fixed damage cap, whichever is lower.
  • DoT effect persists for 50 to 75 seconds depending on the user’s skill level, and remains active even if the target warps or tethers.
  • DoT effect ignores all resistances.
  • Multiple DoT effects from Breacher Pods on a single target don’t stack; the strongest effect takes precedence.
  • A single ship can be affected by only one DoT effect at a time, but multiple DoTs can be applied to different ships concurrently.

SCARAB Breacher Pods

SCARAB Breacher Pod S:

  • Max Range: 4km (6km with max skills)
  • HP Damage per second: 0.60% (0.75% with max skills)
  • Maximum Damage per second: 160 (200 with max skills)

SCARAB Breacher Pod M:

  • Max Range: 8km (12km with max skills)
  • HP Damage per second: 0.60% (1% with max skills)
  • Maximum Damage per second: 800 (1000 with max skills)

Breacher Pod Launchers

Small Breacher Pod Launcher:

  • Rate of Fire: 24 seconds (12 seconds with max skills)

Medium Breacher Pod Launcher:

  • Rate of Fire: 20 seconds (10 seconds with max skills)

Blueprint copies for Breacher Pod Launchers and SCARAB Breacher Pod ammo are obtainable through trade in Zarzakh, using Atavums or Encrypted Infomorphs.

New Breacher Pod Skills

Five new skill books enhance the effectiveness of Breacher Pod Launchers, obtainable through trade in Zarzakh. These skills include: [11, 12]

  • Breacher Pod Launcher Operation: Improves the maximum percentage of target HP damaged per second.
  • Breacher Pod Clone Efficacity: Increases the maximum damage per second cap.
  • Breacher Pod Projection: Enhances the maximum velocity of Breacher Pods.
  • Breacher Pod Rapid Firing: Reduces the cycle time of Breacher Pod Launchers.
  • Breacher Pod Clone Longevity: Extends the duration of the damage effect.

SKINR Paragon Updates

Revenant brings updates to SKINR Paragon, focusing on Corporation Skins, Targeted Listings, and new design elements.

Corporation Skins & Targeted Listings

Players can now target SKIN listings to specific characters, corporations, or alliances when creating public or private listings. This allows for more personalized and controlled distribution of SKINs.

New filter options enable searching for SKIN listings targeted at:

  • Your Character: Listings specifically directed at you.
  • Your Corporation and Alliance:
  • Listings from any player.
  • Listings from members of your corporation or alliance.
  • Listings from Brand Managers within your corporation or alliance.

UI updates accompany these changes, including:

  • Create SKIN Listing Window: Addition of an availability dropdown for specifying the target character, corporation, or alliance.
  • My Own Listings Section: Improved organization for displaying public and targeted listings.
  • SKIN Listing Cards: Updated with targeting information for clarity.
  • New Categories in the Paragon Hub: SKINS for Current ship, All SKINs, Corporation SKINs, Alliance SKINs, SKINs listed at you, My Own Listings, and Branded Listings for Brand Managers.

Brand Managers can create Branded Listings for their corporation or alliance, enjoying the following benefits:

  • No SKINR Service Fee or HUB Listing Fee applied.
  • Listings are marked as “Branded Listings.”

Buyers of Branded Listings are exempt from SKINR Service Fees but incur an EverMark fee based on the SKIN tier. If a Brand Manager loses their role, their branded listings are automatically canceled, and the licenses are returned to their Collection.

Secondary and Nested Patterns

Enhancements to SKINR introduce secondary patterns and new pattern controls, allowing for more intricate SKIN designs. Each SKIN design now includes slots for a secondary pattern and Nanocoatings. New design element controls and modifications:

  • Second pattern modifications: Blend modes for layering effects and a Switch option to modify the pattern hierarchy.
  • Design element controls: Options to reset pattern modifications and remove selected design elements from all slots through a right-click menu.
  • Randomize: A feature to quickly generate random SKIN designs for inspiration.

Over 40 new patterns are added in celebration of the expansion. Players can discover these patterns through gameplay in various locations across New Eden.

Corporation Projects Improvements

The Revenant expansion continues to improve the Corporation Projects system, providing corporation leadership with more tools for engagement and goal achievement.

Expanded Project Parameter

Project creators gain the ability to author the following Contribution Methods with Expanded Project Parameters functionality:

  • Mine Materials
  • Damage Capsuleers
  • Destroy Capsuleer’s Ship
  • Earn Loyalty Points

Expanded Project Parameters enable:

  • Multi-value parameters: Selection of up to ten values per supported parameter, including Locations, Ship Types or Groups, Material Types or Groups, Capsuleers or Organizations, and Organizations.

  • SKINs Tab: Direct SKIN preview and application, and a shortcut to the ship’s SKINR Paragon Hub page.

Glorified Mutaplasmids and Mutaplasmid Residue

All abyssal modules can now be reprocessed into “Mutaplasmid Residue.” This provides a use for mutated modules that don’t meet desired outcomes or are difficult to sell.

Mutaplasmid Residue can be used in new blueprints found in regular abyssal content and CONCORD Rogue Analysis Beacons to create 169 new “Glorified Abyssal Mutaplasmids.” These are more potent versions of existing Mutaplasmids, offering enhanced mutation possibilities.

Balance Changes

Several ships receive balance adjustments in the Revenant expansion:

Marauders

  • 100% bonus to Shield Extender hitpoints removed.
  • 50% bonus to Armor Plate hitpoints removed.
