Diving into the freshly released FLASK Demo felt like stepping into a delightfully grim and greedy world of alchemical chaos. As a debt-ridden alchemist piloting a mobile tower through goblin-infested wastes, you brew powerful homunculi heroes, slap together flask-based decks, and watch them autobattle hordes of mutated monsters. The hand-drawn art style pops with over-the-top bloody cartoon violence that somehow stays comedic and addictive—perfect for fans of roguelike deckbuilding and autobattlers who love experimenting with synergies.
In my 45-minute gameplay session, I quickly got hooked on building out teams of three homunculi, mixing over 500 unique flasks with elements that trigger massive team-wide effects. Bartering with weird merchants, snagging mutations and snacks for power spikes, and climbing deeper into the Goblin Gate for bigger risks and richer rewards kept the runs feeling fresh and strategic. The async PvP tease against rival alchemists adds that extra competitive layer for when you’re ready to go full Grand Alchemist mode.
This demo does an excellent job showcasing the core loop of fortifying your setup, harvesting green blood gold, and unleashing creative builds in a post-medieval dark fantasy setting. Whether you’re into deckbuilding depth or just want to smash monsters in style, FLASK delivers satisfying autobattle action with tons of replayability.
