Launch Worlds and Sietches
Below are the Worlds and Sietch servers available for the Head Start launch on June 5, 2025, and the Global Launch on June 10, 2025, organized by region. Each World shares the same Deep Desert and Social Hubs but has its own Hagga Basin with 25 Sietch servers. Click a region to view its Worlds and the Sietch names shared across all Worlds. Funcom will monitor player populations and may add more Worlds or servers as needed.

Dune: Awakening’s Server Setup Explained
With Dune: Awakening’s Head Start launching on June 5, let’s break down the server structure that’ll power our adventures on the desert planet. Drawing from beta details, dev updates, and community insights, here’s how Worlds, Sietches, the Deep Desert, and Social Hubs will shape this survival game, complete with player caps and gameplay vibes.
Worlds: Your Hub
A World is the massive server cluster where thousands of players will shape their Dune: Awakening experiences. It’s your home base, locking in your progress, base, and spice stash. Each World includes the Hagga Basin for Sietches, Social Hubs for downtime, and the Deep Desert for endgame action. Travel between zones using the Overland Map, hopping into ornithopters that burn fuel and water—better plan those trips carefully! To make navigation easier, I’ve got a Dune: Awakening Interactive Map to help you scout key locations. Funcom’s got us covered with a queue system to keep servers running smoothly at launch, and with global servers like Sydney for AUS/OCE, players worldwide are ready to dive in.
Sietches: Your Desert Stronghold
Your Sietch is your personal corner of the Hagga Basin, a PvE zone built for crafting and base-building. Sietch Shield Generators keep sandstorms and most PvP out, though shipwrecks can spark fights under the Right of Salvage rule.
- Player Cap: Each Sietch holds 40–60 players. Launch aims for 40, but beta tests hit 60, so we might see tweaks post-launch.
- Gameplay: Claim land, build bases, and gather resources. You can visit other Sietches in your World to team up, but building is exclusive to your own.
- Number of Sietches: Each World has 25 Sietches, offering ample space for players to settle and build their desert strongholds.
I’m thrilled to spend hours exploring and building bases during Dune: Awakening’s Head Start on June 5 and Global Launch on June 10. The Hagga Basin is filled with diverse locations to uncover—caves, Imperial Testing Sites, outposts, shipwrecks, and trading posts—all marked on my Dune: Awakening Interactive Map. With 25 Sietches per World, the robust server infrastructure ensures a stable hub for perfecting your base and enables smooth co-op sessions with friends, creating an engaging multiplayer experience.
Deep Desert: The Spice Battleground
The Deep Desert is shaping up to be the heart of endgame chaos—a 576 km² PvPvE zone where all Sietches in a World collide, powered by nine seamless server nodes. It’s where spice wars and territorial battles will go down.
- Player Cap: Launch targets 300 players, a number Funcom set based on beta telemetry for optimal balance, per Community Manager Iggy on Discord (5/30/25). They can handle more but chose 300 for gameplay flow, with plans to adjust if live play shifts. Iggy warned the cap might change anytime, so don’t lock onto that number—it’s flexible.
- Gameplay: Weekly Coriolis storms will reset the map, wiping temporary bases and refreshing points of interest. PvP is high-stakes—die, and you drop spice, currency, and some gear. If the Landsraad votes for Right of Salvage, you could lose everything for a week. Enter via ornithopters or shuttles, with queues if it’s packed.
- Vibe: With a low density (0.2–1.3 players/km², so 880m–2km apart), it’s built for exploration and epic fights, whether you’re solo or with a guild.
The Deep Desert sounds intense, and I’m stoked to see how that 300-player cap feels at launch. Funcom’s flexibility to tweak it has me curious about what we’ll experience. Want to plan your Deep Desert runs? I’ve made a Deep Desert Map with a grid template and custom markers for spice blows, shipwrecks, or guild stashes—perfect for sharing plans with your crew via Discord.
Social Hubs: Chill and Trade
Social Hubs like Arrakeen and Harko Village are your no-combat zones for trading, questing, and hanging out. They’ll support 100–200 players per layer, with extra layers if things get crowded. I’m eyeing Arrakeen as the spot to swap gear and vibe with the community.
Guilds: Strength in Unity
Guilds let up to 32 players team up, ideal for owning the Deep Desert or influencing Landsraad votes to set server rules (like that risky Right of Salvage week). Visiting guildmates’ Sietches for quests or resource runs will make the World feel tight-knit, even with instancing.
Staying Dynamic
Sietches and Social Hubs are permanent, so your base and progress are safe. The Deep Desert, though, gets weekly resets from Coriolis storms, keeping the endgame fresh. Funcom has confirmed private servers will be available right from the start, which will be awesome for roleplay or custom Worlds—each server still connects to a World with shared Social Hubs and Deep Desert. To get ready, make sure your hardware’s up to the task; Funcom’s Character Creator and Benchmark tool can help you test your setup. This mix of private server options, stable bases, and a wild Deep Desert has me counting down to Head Start.
What’s your game plan for June 5? Building a Sietch fortress or jumping into the Deep Desert’s spice chaos? Hit the comments with your thoughts, and let’s get ready to conquer the desert!
