Category: Rating Systems & Social Slang

Rating Systems & Social Slang are frameworks and terminology commonly discussed in looksmaxing, blackpill, and online aesthetic communities. These tools are frequently used to describe and quantify perceived attractiveness, facial harmony, and social/romantic hierarchies according to community viewpoints.

Commonly referenced rating systems and slang terms include:

  • PSL (Photoshop Slut Ladder / Pretty Scale Lookism): A 1–10 photo-based scale originating from early lookism forums. Community members often use it to evaluate bone structure, harmony, sexual dimorphism, halos, and failos, with approximate tiers such as sub-5 (lower range), normie range, Chadlite, and higher.
  • 1–10 Attractiveness Scale (Traditional / Tinder Scale): A more mainstream and context-influenced rating system that incorporates grooming, fashion, lighting, and social factors. Often described in blackpill discussions as more lenient than PSL.
  • Hypergamy & 80/20 Rule: Concepts referring to partner selection preferences and the idea that a small percentage of men receive a disproportionate share of attention.
  • Halo / Failo: Terms for how a single strong trait can positively influence overall perception (halo) or how a single negative trait can detract from it (failo).
  • Mog / Mogging: Community slang for one individual outshining another in a specific trait or overall appearance.
  • SMV (Sexual Market Value): A concept describing an individual’s overall perceived value in dating and social contexts, with looks, frame, height, status, and other factors frequently debated in community discussions.
  • Other core slang: Chad/Chadlite, Stacy, truecel/subhuman, normie, framecel, heightcel/manlet, JBW (Just Be White), NT (neurotypical), LDAR (lie down and rot), ascension, and fraud (referring to temporary enhancements such as angles, lighting, or makeup).

This information is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It reflects popular theories and discussions within specific online communities and is not intended as medical, psychological, dating, or professional advice. Many of these concepts are highly subjective, and individual experiences and outcomes vary greatly.
