In this extended gameplay session, I dive into the Liquidation demo, a tactical real-time strategy title set on the war-torn planet of Veá. This immersive RTS blends sci-fi and fantasy elements, where players command armies and powerful commanders in the fight for control of the valuable resource known as Quenrium. The game features distinct factions like the zealous Twilight Crusade, the resilient Scourge Alliance, the ravenous Corruption swarm, and the demonic Legion, each offering unique units, abilities, and playstyles that encourage strategic army composition and thoughtful battlefield decisions.
During my playthrough, I explored the balanced mechanics that emphasize mid-sized forces, clever positioning, and timely ability usage rather than overwhelming micro or macro management. Commanders grow throughout the experience but remain integral to supporting their armies, creating engaging single-player and multiplayer opportunities. As a solo-developed project heading to Early Access, it shows strong potential for community-driven improvements, with plans for expanded factions, campaigns, and tools in the full release later in 2026.
